Iran's foreign minister blames Israeli regime for bomb explosions in southern Beirut

Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Wednesday strongly condemned bomb explosion in southern Beirut on the advent holy month of Ramadan and described it as sign of weakness and helplessness of the enemies and the Zionist regime.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Salehi made the remarks in a telephone call with his Lebanese counterpart Adnan Mansour.

The enemies seek to divide the Lebanese nations in order to set off sectarian conflict in the region, Salehi said.

The Lebanese people should exercise vigilance to thwart such dastardly conspiracies, he said.

He prayed for remedy of those injured in the terrorist bombing and said that Iran continues its support for Lebanon.

The Lebanese foreign minister, for his part, thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for its support for the Lebanese unity and said the Lebanese government and nation fully understand the sensitive situation in the region and will spare no efforts to materialize their lofty goals.

The terrorist bombing aimed to generate confrontation in the country, but to no avail, he said.

In the bomb explosion one people was killed and several dozens sustained injuries.
